Executed in a molded composite material with extensive hand-finished carving, the surface features extraordinary detail throughout — from the layered pagodas and scholars to the pierced scrolling floral panels and elephant-head handles.
The warm faux-ivory tone gives the piece the look of carved ivory while remaining unmistakably mid-century in spirit, blending Hollywood Regency glamour with Asian-inspired decorative arts. The sculptural elephant handles and elaborate openwork lend strong visual presence, while the black carved base provides contrast and grounding.
