There’s just something about blue and white earthenware that makes an elegant statement and above all, seems to complement most any design sensibility. This substantial-in-weight, fabulous blue and white earthenware set of three nesting bowls mimics the profile and design of Chinese export porcelain from Canton that was all the rage in the 18th to early 20th century. This set, handcrafted in the 1980s for Silvestri, consists of three varying-size square nesting bowls with notched corners adorned with a whimsical motif of Chinese fruits such as loquats, passion/dragon fruits, mangosteens, yumberries and pomegranates and an assortment of florals and foliates hand painted in cobalt blue on a crisp white background. In excellent condition with age-appropriate wear; makers label on the underside. Together the trio weighs 6 lbs. 12 oz. and measures as follows:

Large bowl: 8½” x 8½” x4½” W/D/H; interior 8” x 8” x 4” W/D/H
Medium bowl: 7¼” x 7¼” x 3¾” W/D/H; interior 6¾” x 6¾”” x 3½” W/D/H
Small bowl: 4¾” x 4¾”” x 2½” W/D/H; interior 4½” x 4½” x2” W/D/H
