Crafted around the 1960s or 1970s, it depicts a large Cocker Spaniel in a seated pose, standing near life-size on the floor. It is finished in a brilliant, high-gloss white glaze with detailed, hand-painted facial features, including a bold black nose and, most significantly, the signature exaggerated, upward-gazing "pity eyes" that are highly characteristic of Italian animal pottery from this era.
