19th Century Biedermeier Picture Clock, Austria
Rare early 1800's Picture Clock features a bucolic village scene in the Austrian mountains. Lovely chalet with villagers relaxing in the grass with dogs and cows by the lake with trees and flowers. A painted clock tower cleverly holds the 2 winding mechanisms and hands for the clock.
Oil on panel mounted on box which house the clock mechanisms. Hardware for hanging on top of box. Includes original key.
