Iconic 1968 “Kangaroo” Z-Chair designed by Ernst Moeckl and Siegfried Mehl in the former GDR. Often referred to as the German interpretation of the Panton chair (also known as the Variopur chair), this piece features a sculptural cantilever form and classic space-age silhouette.
This particular chair was acquired via 1stDibs and has been professionally restored. It is finished in a rich, high-gloss oxblood/dark red wine lacquer (RAL 3005), which beautifully highlights its fluid lines and gives it strong visual presence.
