A magnificent 10-inch German bisque centerpiece produced by Royal Rudolstadt (Straus & Sons) circa 1895. This rare maritime-themed piece features two hand-painted sailboat vignettes in a sophisticated 'Delft-style' cobalt blue monochrome—a significant departure from the more common multi-colored 'Continental' bisque of the era.
The Neo-Rococo design is masterfully modeled with two majestic swans and a central cherub supporting a triple-well vessel. The hollow-base construction and faint blue factory ink-mark confirm its late 19th-century Thuringian origin. This curated piece is in heirloom condition, free of the common breaks to the fragile fingers or beaks often found in bisque of this age.
