An incredible oversized black and gold highly decorative patterned Chinoiserie 3 drawer commode chest of drawers.
This is a wonderful very large piece with stunning designs on three sides.
The chest features large spacious wood drawers with pretty curves. The top has a crackle like finish with a leafy painted gold, bronze detailed trim.
What I love most about this commode is the chest looks beautiful from the sides as well. as the front. The design is very versatile in style and can fit into a Chinoiserie and Hollywood Regency designed room. In my opinion the chest can even work in an Italian aesthetic as this print reminds me of a Versace design.
The chest sits on 4 round bun wood feet, and the drawers have round metal knobs.
It's a perfect piece in a foyer or living room for a dramatic statement.

- The chest is in very good condition. there were a handful of dings and scratches all around, on the lip … moreThe chest is in very good condition. there were a handful of dings and scratches all around, on the lip of the drawers, edge bottom and corners which were touched up and lightly repaired. Overall it was minor wear and tear from usage however it looks very good now, not perfect. The top had some superficial scratches which were touched up as well. A couple of the lip edges underneath the drawers has a few chips or wear as shown. less
