A studio pottery bowl by the American artist Abraham Cohn (born 1925). This bowl features a brown rim with a single small notch. The interior of the bowl has a giraffe-like design at its center. The underside of the bowl is is signed.
Abraham Cohn attended the University of Wisconsin for painting. After taking a singular pottery class, Cohn left the college to enroll at Kentfield Junior College and switched majors to ceramics. The second college had open studio hours, with Cohn reportedly working sixty hours a week on his pottery, before moving back to Wisconsin and opening his own pottery studio.
