Offered is a set of 24 pieces, 12 each Dinner and Salad plates, of 20th century American iconic Franciscan Desert Rose, Made in England. This collection is very well known to mid 20th century enthusiasts, and was produced between 1941 and 1984 at their studio in Glendale California. Featuring their hand decorated subtly textured pink roses and green leaves and scalloped rims, the company was sold in 1984 to English company, Wedgewood, and produced in their Johnson Brothers between 1984 and 2002. The pieces made during this era are known for deeper saturated colors and slightly more texture.
