​This rare piece represents a prestigious mid-century collaboration between the Vetreria Tagliapietra furnace and the world-renowned Barovier dynasty. It bears the original foil "Vetreria Tagliapietra e Barovier" label and is personally diamond-point signed "A. Tagliapietra" on the polished base.

Crafted in genuine Neodymium (Alexandrite) glass. This dichroic glass exhibits a dramatic color shift: a vibrant, deep violet under natural or incandescent lighting, transforming into a cool, icy blue under fluorescent or UV light. Executed using the massello at 6 lbs, the sculpture possesses a remarkable density and liquid-like clarity, showcasing the maestro’s ability to manipulate solid molten glass into a gravity-defying twist.

Signed works by Andrea Tagliapietra are increasingly sought after following the retirement of his brother, Lino. This piece, with its dual attribution to Barovier, is a significant high-end for any Murano collection.
