Surprisingly sturdy for their size. Great for extra seating or as accent chairs that make a statement. Wooden supports fold up and serve as handles for carrying.

These chairs are often seen in period Civil War photographs of camp scenes. This style of campaign chair has become very difficult to find; the carpet seat adds such warmth. There is an example of this type of chair on display at the National Civil War Medical Museum in Frederick, MD.
