LARGE SIZE - Measures Approx … Read more This is a Great Looking - Very Decorative Authentic Antique Wholesale Groceries Sellers Balance Scale. LARGE SIZE - Measures Approx 34 inches Tall. Made in England - Circa Approx 1900. The Lion Paw Base and the Fancy Top Mounting Bracket are Made Out of Cast with White Glass - Porcelain Surfaces ( Not Oil Paint ). All of the Rest of the Pieces are Solid Brass. The Top - Balance Bar is Embossed with Information that Reads "CO-OPERATIVE WHOLESALE SOCIETY - 1 BALLOON STREET - MANCHESTER". It is in Very Good Overall Condition with All Original Parts. The Porcelain Has Some High Point Chips Here and There. NOTE That the Brass Parts are Tarnished With Some Surface Corrosion - Verdigris to the 2 Pans. These Could be Professionally Polished - Restored to their Original Condition.
