MADE IN POLAND BY JULIA HUTA GLASSWORKS

This larger-scale piece is elevated on a faceted pedestal base with a starburst-cut underside, giving it both height and sculptural presence. The layered amber overlay is expertly cut back to clear, revealing intricate botanical detailing framed by deeply faceted panels.

Rooted in traditional Central European glassmaking, pieces of this type were often produced by craftsmen trained within the Harrach and Rückl cutting traditions, where combining amber overlay with detailed floral engraving was among the most labor-intensive decorative processes—often requiring 15–20 hours of handwork per vessel.

Due to the cost and complexity of such techniques, production of heavy, fully hand-cut crystal forms declined significantly by the late 20th century. Today, these works are appreciated for their craftsmanship and are increasingly sought after in both European and international decorative markets.

The original Julia label remains intact, further supporting authenticity and origin.
