Early 19th century Swedish Mora grandfather clock crafted in pine, standing over 7 feet tall. The case features curvaceous lines, including a pronounced belly and a shaped pedestal base with applied carved accents.
The clock retains its original face and hands, with a simple crown detail above. A newer professionally applied layered white painted finish highlights the Swedish country form, with layers of antique white showing distress throughout and adding depth and character.
The long case has been restored, is stable and ready for placement. The original clock movement no longer functions; it is recommended the buyer install a battery-operated mechanism for modern use.
Wood longcase is restored, stable and ready for use. Minor age-related cracks, scratches, and signs of old dried wormholes are present but no longer active.
