A Japanese cloisonné enamel bowl from the Showa period, distinguished by its intricate hand-laid wirework and richly variegated enamel palette.
The interior presents a densely composed botanical abstraction, executed in fine gold cloisons with jewel-toned enamel infill. The composition is fluid and non-repeating—characteristics associated with more carefully produced mid-century cloisonné rather than later mass-market export ware.
The scalloped rim is delicately gilded, while the underside features the classic turquoise enamel ground typical of Japanese cloisonné from this period.
This piece offers strong decorative presence and material depth, making it well-suited for display in a curated interior.
