The bottle has a spherical cap and a body that is a flattened circle, connected on each side to a piece of chain that culminates in a round bail. The bottle has a beautiful abstract, almost lunar landscape pattern of swirling craters. The gold is acid washed, with a bloom of a higher karat, so that the gold really glows and has a warm, buttery feel to it. The top hinges back and closes securely, making this a working perfume bottle that really can hold your favorite perfume.

The bottle measures 1 1/8” x 3/4”. With the chain and bail, the entire pendant is about 1 5/8” tall. The round bail is 7.25 mm across. Unmarked; acid tests as 18k gold.

Circa the 1890’s, a tiny perfume bottle like this is hard to find. A rare item and a great conversation starter. See less
