Circa the 1900’s, … Read more This 14k gold pendant holds six beautiful Old Mine Cut Diamonds in the shape of a flower. Circa the 1900’s, the diamonds are bead set in a delicate mount—each diamond is held in place by a single bead prong on the exterior of the pendant and three beads on the interior part of the flower. A central diamond is intricately bead set as well, with a border of beads that fill out the floral design. The bead setting and use of white gold give the pendant the appearance of a full diamond front with an uninterrupted sparkle across the entire flower. The front of the piece is primarily white gold, while the back of the mount is yellow gold. On the back of the pendant, there is a little circle with pretty carriage work that loops around the side of the mount. The pendant hangs from a 14k yellow gold oval bail.

The pendant contains six natural antique Old Mine Cut diamonds. They measure 3.5 mm each for an approximate TCW of 1 carat. The stones are well-matched and range from VS2-SLI in clarity and G-H in color.

The pendant measures 3/8” across, plus an additional 5 x 7 mm bail. It has a depth of 3/16”. It weighs 1.3 grams. Unmarked; acid tests as 14k.
