This set of four plates from the Spode Blue Room Collection features scenes from the Zoological series, each reproduced from a hand-engraved copper plate in the classic blue transferware tradition. The four subjects are the Zebra Pen, Tiger Cages, Ostrich House, and Kangaroo Enclosure, all set within a densely decorated floral and scrollwork border. Each plate is individually titled on the reverse with the Spode backstamp.
