Small chairs and benches, for me, have always been somewhat of an accessory piece around our home; you can never have too many. A good one fits into any space! Small or large, in and out of doors, you can move it around from room-to-room, space-to-space, to meet the need of the moment, whether it been seating or décor. This lovely Duncan Phyfe-style scroll splat low back accent bench will make a statement as a small entryway bench or in front of a landscape type window Though petite in stature, its stylish profile consists of a mahogany wood frame with a demure scalloped top rail, scrolled center back splat and side seat rails that extend downward to form splayed saber legs on the front. The back’s curved back stiles extend downward forming the rear splayed legs. A center H-stretcher provides structural integrity and stability. The classic jacquard stripe bench seat fabric in hues of ecru, merlot, sage and tan will complement most any design sensibility.

This beauty measures 23¼” x 24” x 17” H/W/D; seat to floor distance 17½”; seat 21” x 14¼” x 1” W/D/H; back 7¼” x 22”H/W; weight approximately 25 lbs. In excellent condition with age-appropriate wear which includes a few scuffs to the finish and light wear to the lacquer finish in a few places, none of which affect its good looks or utility. We believe this bench was crafted sometime in the mid 1940s to early 1950s in the United States. Unknown maker. Because of this beauty’s construction, we have discerned it to be too fragile to parcel ship and have chosen to offer it as an In-Home Delivery piece to ensure it gets to its new owner in the same condition as when it leaves us.
