This work presents a Kabuki warrior rendered in bold, graphic color with layered patterning and theatrical costume detail. The image is paired with a black mat and a black frame accented by a gold tone inner trim for a sharp, gallery ready presentation. Tom Kamifuji was a Palo Alto–based designer and artist recognized for graphic design and silkscreen work, and this composition became widely associated with mid-century advertising. The same design later appeared in a 1971 Suntory Royal Whisky campaign alongside the slogan “Dare to be different.” It is in good condition with visible and minimal wear from usage. See less
