Antique German Mechanical Wooden Wall Clock with pendulum

Step back in time with this breathtakingly beautiful Viennese Regulator wall clock, a true masterpiece from the golden age of German clockmaking. Crafted by the renowned Uhrenfabrik Carl Werner in the Black Forest town of Villingen, this exquisite timekeeper is not just an antique; it's a piece of living history and a work of art.

Date of production: circa 1887-1893
Features:
Case: A perfect blend of richly grained walnut veneer and contrasting ebonized (black) decorative elements, spindles, and a beautifully carved top pediment. This dramatic contrast is a hallmark of the finest German regulators. The case is in good condition, with a deep, original patina.
14-day movement on thick bronze plates with a stamp of the horseshoe on the backplate
The clock strikes once on each half-hour and strikes the number of each hour

The bronze pendulum looks gilded
The "R/A" on the pendulum bob means "Slower" and "Faster" (Retard / Advance) indicating the direction to turn the rating nut to regulate the speed of the clock
