A vintage mechanical wall clock by Jauch, marked “P.L. 37 cm – Western Germany,” dating to the 1960s–1970s. This 8-day wind-up movement strikes the Westminster chime on the quarter hour, with a full melodic sequence on the hour, creating a resonant, layered sound that fills a room without overwhelming it.
The solid oak case features a warm medium-dark stain, visible grain, an arched bonnet top, and fluted side columns. A brass-tone dial with black Arabic numerals and spade hands sits above a glass lower panel that reveals the polished brass pendulum in motion. Three winding arbors indicate time and strike functions.
Running condition. Case presents very well with minor, age-appropriate wear.
