The glossy earthenware glaze pools and varies across the surface, creating depth and dimension characteristic of traditional majolica pottery. The sculptural leaf shape and vibrant color make this an especially attractive decorative plate for display or use. Each plate is individually glazed, resulting in subtle variations in color and pattern. Some examples show stronger turquoise tones while others lean toward mossy green, and the mottling and veining differ slightly from piece to piece. These natural variations highlight the character of handmade majolica. Each plate has a hole in the back for hanging, if you decide to display yours.
