This is an incredible pair of 1980s shell back swivel chairs. They are unsigned but designed in the style of Vladimir Kagan's famous Nautilus lounge chairs. The chairs have asymmetric sculptural silhouettes showcasing thick channels contoured to form a shell shape. The faux bois moire upholstery fabric is newer and in a dark green shade similar to Benjamin Moore 602 Gondola Ride (“A deep, moody hunter green with endless versatility”).
The 1980s era chairs are in excellent vintage condition. The chairs are sturdy and swivel smoothly. The fabric is very clean and in excellent shape. Please see photos for more details about the condition of the chairs.
