A set of six vintage white majolica artichoke plates produced in Gien, France. Beautiful examples of majolica--glazed earthenware pottery--the plates have an Art Nouveau-ish look, with a floral and leafy, scrolling design. The plate features a center well for holding the artichoke, a side well for dipping sauce and space to discard the leaves.
Plates are 9" across and in excellent vintage condition.
