It was made for Harmony … Read more This Rare Antique Gilded Commerce Mantle Clock was made by Golden Novelty Mfg in 1885. It was made for Harmony House and features a statue of a woman representing American Commerce. It is a stunning piece of Victorian art that is in excellent condition with little wear apparent on the Gilt. The clock does tick and work when wound, I am not sure of how well it keeps time and cannot guarantee it's accuracy. It is made of gilded iron and is very heavy & virtually flat and can easily go on a shelf or mantle. Standing at 12.5" tall and 10" wide, and only 1-2" D. This clock is very rare and I only found 1 other like it. This beautiful clock is a unique decorative collectible for any antique enthusiast. The clock features intricate detailing of commerce themes, embodying the historical significance of the late 19th century. See pictures. See less
