Art Deco Fostoria Black Glass Consul Bowl with Matching Candlestick Holders pattern #2395, designed by George Sakier during the Art Deco era of the 1920s or 1930s. Fostoria was an elegant glass company that made beautiful high end things that were sold in jewelry stores and high end department stores. All their pieces were fire polished and beautifully finished. George Sakier called Art Deco "modern classism" and it works today as well as it did in the 1920's. These would be beautiful in an entryway on a Mid Century Modern media console, or on a large table or a buffet in a dining room. This is a very difficult to find item for Fostoria Ebony Glass collectors especially with the matching candlestick holders which are in perfect condition and measure
