Elegant original Art Deco armchair attributed to Maurice Dufrêne, featuring a compact, architectural frame with striking book‑matched thuya burl panels featuring accents of swag-like ebonized drapery and linear detail along the back and arm rails and rich cognac toned mahogany on the back. The chair is upholstered in a soft olive green fabric with woven camel beige / gold polka dots, highlighted by double welt piping. Tapered front and back legs terminate in distinctive silvered egg shaped accents, giving the piece a refined, glamorous 1930s silhouette.
Overall, a beautiful satin gloss French polish charming vintage finish commensurate with age and use.
Perfect as a desk, vanity, dining side, or occasional chair, it brings a sophisticated Art Deco presence to any interior.
