A stylish vintage faux bamboo writing desk with matching chair, crafted in the Philippines in the British Colonial revival taste of the late 20th century. Both pieces feature a tortoise-finish faux-bamboo frame with clean lines. The frame is iron wrapped with wicker. It is very heavy and very sturdy.
The desk includes two drawers with campaign-style pulls and a protective custom-cut glass top. The glass top protects the woven surface. The coordinating chair features an oval back splat and woven cane seat, complementing the desk's tropical-inspired design. The back is finished, so the desk can be placed free standing.
This set blends beautifully into Palm Beach, Hollywood Regency, coastal, or traditional interiors and works equally well as a writing desk, vanity, or small office workstation.
