Royal Copenhagen, Denmark, Aluminia Faience Tranquebar blue pattern, large rimmed soup bowl set of 4. Cobalt blue flower framed by basket weave or lattice design.
Each measures 10".
All are in excellent condition, minor surface scratching, one has a very minor fleabite chip under rim, as phototgraphed.
The Tranquebar service was created in 1914 by the painter Christian Joachim. Original production started at the Aluminia factory in 1914 and was continued by Royal Copenhagen in 1969.
The service was named Tranquebar after the old Danish colony in India.
