An outstanding antique soft paste porcelain plate by Sèvres of France
All hand painted floral groupings up front, surrounded by a basket weave molded border
Cobalt blue inner and outer encirclings, accented with Gilt
Gilt scalloped rim edge
Marked on the underside with a handwritten underglaze blue "Crossed L's" or "Double Louis" Sèvres mark
Cursive lettering to the left of it - G
Due to there being no date letter mark inside the Crossed L's, the piece can be dated to the 1751-1753 period
A fully authentic and original period soft paste Sèvres plate, not a copycat piece!
Measurements: Approx. 9.25" or 23.5 cm in diameter (across)
