I worked with brides on their registries, making sure they got what was prioritized. One of the things I did was organize bridal events.. This platter and the matching pieces were part of my setup for snacks. When they closed the store, I made sure I got these. It's made of a metal similar to Wilton Armetale, but there are no makers marks on it, nor is this one of their designs. So they are in the style of, but don't belong to. They retain either heat or cold excellently, depending on what you put on them. They have no makers mark. The only identification found on them is a "made in India" sticker on one. The first memory anyone had of them dated to the 80s. They almost certainly predate that, but no one ever knew when. The majority of the design is highly polished, however, the flowers show a "sand" edging around them, meaning at some point the design was cast in sand. But the detail is incredible. I'm unsure of what the flowers are supposed to be, but I'm guessing somewhere in the poppy/ hibiscus/ daisy/ cosmos line.
