A six-well Majolica glazed oyster plate by S. Fielding & Co. Ltd., Stoke-on-Trent, England, circa 1878.
Turquoise oyster wells surround a central condiment well, all on a molded bed of chocolate brown seaweed.
A deep yellow nautical rope border encircles the centre well and the outer rim.
The verso is glazed in a watery ‘oyster grey’ with six raised scallop shell shaped feet.
