A striking and imposing mantel clock (or table clock) in heavy cast gilded brass, in the louis xv/rococo style. The case is a rich sculptural triumph of scrolls, acanthus leaves, and high-relief rocaille elements. The gilded dial, protected by a hinged glass with a brass frame, features roman numerals for the hours, arabic numeral minute tracks, and antique-style openwork hands. The back is finished with an elegant decorative openwork lattice pattern. The clock is equipped with a reliable, battery-powered quartz movement.
