This tall case clock features a beautifully figured burl walnut body topped with an arched hood housing a brass dial engraved with Roman numerals and decorative spandrels. The long, elegant shaft is veneered with rich burled wood panels, while the substantial base provides sturdy support for this substantial timepiece.
Circa 1750s, this piece exemplifies the Queen Anne style with its graceful proportions and restrained ornamentation favored in English clockmaking.
