A set of melamine stackable dinner plates designed by Massimo Vignelli (1931-2014) for Heller. Made in the 1960s the set includes eleven circular, orange plates with raised edges. Eight of the plates are marked “HELLER” to underside, two are marked “HELLER DESIGNED BY MASSIMO VIGNELLI MADE IN U.S.A.”, and one is unmarked.
Massimo Vignelli spearheaded designs for advertising, housewares and furnishings. He and his wife, Lella, co-founded Vignelli Associates. Vignelli is best known for his use of geometric forms in the Modernist tradition.
