Original Harry Bertoia "Diamond" Lounge Chairs for Knoll International. Pair of mid-century icons with clear, documented history. Designed in 1952 by Harry Bertoia for Knoll, these Diamond chairs were part of a revolutionary sculptural furniture movement.
Acquired from estate auction in Fort Colins, CO. Previous owner worked at Colorado State University and acquired the Original Harry Bertoia "Diamond" Lounge Chairs from the CSU library.
The Provenance Factor: Included in this lot is a photograph of the chairs in the original client's residence at the time of acquisition. This visual history confirms that these are not modern reproductions, but original mid-century pieces that have remained together in a curated environment. The photo captures the chairs in their "natural habitat," highlighting their role as functional art within a sophisticated period interior. For a serious collector, this level of documented single-ownership "home-of-origin" history is a rare and highly desirable value-add.
