The piece is crowned by a striking silver-plated lid, ornately decorated in an Art Nouveau-style repoussé rose motif. This parlor humidor was originally designed to store tobacco; the underside of the lid retains its original metal bar, which historically held a hydration sponge to keep contents fresh.
