Lovely collection of blue & white flow blue transferware. All have white ground with cobalt blue edges and gilt adornment on the rims; two plates also have a gilt floral center medallion. Two pieces are marked "La Francaise Porcelain" and are believed to have been fabricated between 1901 & 1916. The third piece bears the mark of Sterling China and was used in the late 1910s and early 1920s. The last item is unmarked, but, because of the similarity of the gilt swags and rim decoration, is almost certainly a La Francaise piece of the same vintage.
The assortment consists of:
Dinner plate, unmarked, 9.5" Dia.
Luncheon plate, La Francaise, 8.25" Dia.
Bowl, Sterling China, 7.6" Dia.
Salad plate, 7.25" Dia.
Good condition; all pieces have age-related crazing, the luncheon plate has an edge chip (as shown), the salad plate has a hairline crack on the back which does not extend to the front surface.
Free local pickup; otherwise shipped via economical UPS ground.
