Large Size … Read more This Really is an Exceptionally Nice & Quite Rare Cobalt Blue Glass Antique American Drug Store Apothecary Bottle. Large Size Measuring Approx 10 1/2 inches Tall. Circa Mid 19th Century. It has a Beautiful Reverse Painted with 22K Gold Leaf Glass Label that Identifies the Contents as "ELIX CALISAYA". Calisaya is still Used Today in Liquors Because of its Appealing Taste and it would have been used in this case to Flavor Cough Syrups and Other Medicines. The Bottle is Hand Made - Hand Blown as the Concave "Pontil" on the Bottom Indicates - See Photograph. It Still Retains its Original Mushroom Style Top - Stopper that has Been Perfectly Ground to Fit and Form a Seal Air Tight. It is in Excellent Condition with No Damage and it Displays Beautifully.
