This is a small pedestal 9 1/2"W x 4"H. Sun Purple glass known as "solarized amethyst dates from 1840-1920. Glass makers added manganese dioxide to glass as a clarifier, which reacts to UV light and turns it light purple. Natural sun purple glass is popular with collectors. See less
