Fresh from a Rye New York collection, we have a pleasure to bring you this beautiful Large Antique American Shelf … Read more Fresh from a Rye New York collection, we have a pleasure to bring you this beautiful Large Antique American Shelf Clock by Seth Thomas. Made mid 19th century, circa 1865, a great quality Plymouth Hollow Connecticut made example. Clock is nicely carved, period parcel gilt tops of split columns. Front features a large door, which opens and closes with a knob hook on the left side. Top of the door is a clear glass, and below is a pane with a phenomenal reverse painted bald white eagle. Inside is a large white dial with black Roman numerals. Present is a matching pendulum, key, single weight and some paperwork. Clock is in good overall condition, with some age / use wear, likely needs tuning, sold as non-working (please see photos). Size is large and impressive 25" high, 15" wide and 4.5" deep from the wall. Gorgeous set that can work in traditional or mid-century modern setting! See less
