This piece was made on the island of Murano probably in the 1950's. Latticino is an Italian term that means little lace referring to the intricate net like patterns made by inserting thin glass threads ( filigree) into clear or colored glass. It was a very labor intensive and beautiful technique. It is a hallmark of Venetian (Murano) glassmaking. See less
