Wedgwood black basalt saucers, mid-20th century (c. 1950s–1970s), encrusted in shells by native Charleston and Bluffton, SC artist, Fancy, May River Neptune.
These decorative plates are Neoclassical Revival / Grand Tour–inspired wall plaques. Wall hangers added to back.
Fancy, a native of Charleston and Bluffton, SC, for many years has collected most of the shells used on her coquillage pieces.
