I think the idea is bean pot, but single serving casseroles, twice baked potatoes and chicken pot pies are all possible as these are oven proof. There are areas on the underside of the handles that didn't get glaze- I'm not particularly worried about that. Check the photos carefully as they are a vital portion of the description, but- its not chipped, they've been in use roughly 50 years - I'm just not worried. See less
