Made in England and dating to the 1800s, the bowl presents the pattern’s traditional Italianate pastoral scene, framed by the characteristic Imari-influenced border designed by Josiah Spode in 1816. The rim is finished with gold gilt, and the piece is marked on the underside.

Produced using underglaze transfer printing, this example reflects the long-established English ceramic tradition associated with Spode.
