Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern ceramic disc in beige and brown earth colors. Design No. 34 by Jørgen Mogensen made in his own studio in the 1970s. This beautiful brutalist centerpiece bowl with Sung glaze is a great example of Danish ceramic art.

Jørgen Mogensen was hired by Royal Copenhagen right after he graduated in 1949. He worked closely with other great artists like Axel Salto, Knud Kyhn and Nils Thorsson. In 1956 he opened his own studio together with his wife Ursula Mogensen.

Signed and stamped under bottom.
