Rare antique Limoges five-hole oyster plate, early 19th century, set of 6. The intricate pattern of pink roses intertwines with blue ribbon swags plus a central, alternating circle of green daisies and an elegant burnished gold scalloped border with 5 oyster holes. Limoges porcelain is hard-paste porcelain produced by factories in and around the city of Limoges, France beginning in the late 18th century. Hallmarked on the back with the GDA mark used by Gerard, Dufraisseix and Abbott Co. from 1900 - 1941, Abbott was the US importer/distributor in NYC. Lovely set for a collector or as a display- either hung or in a cabinet.

In very good condition considering age and history. Zoom in on photos to see any imperfections including 1 small flea bite chip in the rim of 4 plates, some minor loss of gold finish, and a tiny dark blemish in the original finish on 2 plates. No cracks, crazing, or repairs.
