Very large, sculptural Italian majolica pottery serving platter with a pair of integral sauce boats & ladles plus two separate serving plates. Perfect to serve artichokes, appetizers, or any side dishes which are accompanied by sauces. Artichoke-form, gloss white glaze with just a hint of color in the tulip blossoms and leaves which adorn the sauce bowl lids and the accompanying ladles. Marked en verso with "The Walter Hatches Italy".
Dimensions: large platter w/ lidded sauce wells, 19"W x 17"D x 6"H; ladles (2), 4"W x 1.5"D x 1.5"H; serving plates (2), 9"W x 6.5"D x 1.5"H.
Very good vintage condition with minor wear appropriate for age and previous enjoyment.
