The circular dial displays a satin-gilt chapter ring with Roman numerals and minute track, signed Chelsea at VI, enclosing a black lacquer center finely painted with an idyllic Chinese garden: figures on arched bridges before pavilions and rockwork, a hovering bird and waterfowl amid stylized reeds. Pierced, scrolled hands in bright white metal. The verso with integral hinged easel support and a nickel-plated 8-day timepiece movement accessed from a round rear cover, with winding and regulation arbors exposed.
